"Change" hits close to home. I am in the process of changing jobs. I had an interview Monday and second interview Tuesday, which is good, but that means I had to wear pantyhose (had to buy them first) and "big girl" shoes two days in a row:
When normally on a hot Tuesday in August in Florida, I could get away with wearing sandals with bare legs and a peasant skirt to work:
Change can be good, but I am glad that I do NOT have to wear hose or heels today :-)
p.s. Please keep your fingers crossed that I get the job - thanks!
Oh, I know what you mean! When my juniors do their presentations, a graded requirement is dressing up. A bonus point is given the the girls for wearing heels and one to the boys for wearing a tie (with a 'dress' shirt). I call it 'the real world experience'. I do allow them to change afterwards.
ReplyDeleteI'm a colorful peasant skirt and sandals or flats person too. But those purple sandals inspire me---I need to vamp up my shoe wardrobe!
(In winter, it's long wool or cordoroy skirts and boots).
I'm definitely in your corner for this job! Let us know. I'm planning on seeing a celebratory post!:>)
Good luck with the job search/interview process!
ReplyDeleteCross my fingers for you! Good luck and hope you get a job where you are allowed wear comfy shoes! ;o)

ReplyDeleteCrossing fingers for you. I don't mind having to dress for some work situations as I think the world has gotten a little too casual sometimes but it sure is nice to change into something comfy when you get home!
