Last week was a rough one. Work is nuts and by the end of the week, I was a little stressed. In my aggravation of dealing with the paralegal for opposing counsel in one of our cases, I lost it. I put in writing (by email) how I appreciated (note the sarcasm) his professional courtesy, which I don't suppose was very professional on my side. To make matters worse, I copied both of our bosses on it. While my boss will surely agree with me regarding his behaviour, I don't know if she'll be too happy that I put it in writing... I am generally an easy-going happy person, but once I'm ticked off, I have a short fuse and a nasty temper... So, I took out my angry energy on my yard.
Ten yard bags and a bin full of yard rubbish and I am feeling better! Not a bad use of a Saturday afternoon. Now, I 'm off to pick up Thai takeout (Tofu Panang - yum) and plan to spend the evening in watching movies with a pot of herb tea, pets and cross-stitch.
This is why I love gardening. It helps to get rid of nervous energy that inevitably builds up when dealing with difficult and/or irritating matters.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice Sunday!

Thank you! I had a great Sunday and this week has been much better and luckily my boss was not angry :-)
DeleteSorry about your week - your garden must be glad for all the pruning and clearing!
ReplyDeletePS As an Italian, I don't believe in things left untold (that's why people mistake us for "emotional" folks:)) - the art/trick is knowing how to say/write things in the best possible way!
I like the sound of the Italian way! I'm always telling people, "You might not always like what I say, but you'll always know where you stand with me."
