Corner View - A Good Read

Corner View is a weekly appointment - each Wednesday - created by Jane and currently curated by Francesca, where bloggers from all corners of the world share their view on a pre-arranged theme. If you'd like to join in, please leave a link to your Corner View post in the comments at www.fuoriborgo.com, and be sure to visit other participants, too.

I am currently reading Paco's Story by Larry Heinemann for my university course, The Vietnam Experience.  While it is a very "heavy" subject, it is proving to be a very good read.  (As to the subject matter... hence, the glass of wine, which I consider an educational tool ;-) )

Happy corner-viewing!

p.s. To Nadine - no, I'm not a Buddhist as I don't believe in reincarnation.  (I do like the thought though.  Then I can have Johnny Depp in my next life.)  However, I am at the Buddhist center at least once a week.   (I've been taking meditation classes there.) The people are wonderful and I like the general mindset, "Do no harm."

  3. Education has a way of exposing us to books we would never read otherwise and of which we are often surprised when the material turns out to be good.:>)
Example: my freshmen reading To Kill a Mockingbird and my juniors reading Poe and later in the year Steinbeck's Of Mice and Men.
I love your pillow case----so bright and festive!:>)
