Corner View - Traditions

Corner View is a weekly appointment - each Wednesday - curated by Francesca, where bloggers from all corners of the world share their view on a pre-arranged theme. If you'd like to join in, please leave a link to your Corner View post in the comments at www.fuoriborgo.com, and be sure to visit other participants, too.

Well, I have better photos of Thanksgiving... but, of course, I can't find them now that I need them. Having said that, our family holiday tradition is to spend Thanksgiving together at my parents' house. This year will be different, however.  Mom had a quadruple bypass at the end of August.  (She is doing amazingly well.)  So, my oldest niece, Lauren, will be hosting this year.  Here are some previous Thanksgivings:

1994, Tuscaloosa, AL

1996, Tuscaloosa, AL

2010, Monterey, TN - Mom with her great grandson, Zalyn; my oldest sister, Sandy, and oldest niece, Lauren, doing the dishes after the feast; my great-niece, McKayla, wearing more food than she's eating.

Happy Corner-viewing!

  6. That is one thing I miss about not having family close by! My mom and dad will be coming this year, but most years we head to Disney.
