Corner View - Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue

Corner View is a weekly appointment - each Wednesday - created by Jane and currently curated by Francesca, where bloggers from all corners of the world share their view on a pre-arranged theme. If you'd like to join in, please leave a link to your Corner View post in the comments at, and be sure to visit other participants, too.

Something old... one of my favorite photographs - my mom (left) and my late Aunt Madeline when they were girls.

Something new... two books that were recently delivered - one by the husband of our fearless leader, Francesca.

Something borrowed... the Bunco Babes bag borrowed from our "captain" as it is my turn to host Bunco this month.

Something blue... a gray-blue sky full of sea gulls.  (Taken in the parking lot of the Dollar General, not the beach!)

  1. I love old photographs. Nice take on the theme.

  2. Cute girls! Love those vintage black&white photos!

  3. that first pic is fab.

    (still not a robot)

  4. Like your list of new, borrowed, and blue . Have a happy week!

  5. {in time, tell us about the book, won't you?}
    the mum&aunt photo is indeed a pretty litle delight. ...

  6. Great choices for the theme. Yes, do tell about the book. I am so stretched for time these days, that I read book vicariously through other readers...

  7. somehow old pictures have more touch....

  8. Great choices . . . I love the book on olive oil! Isn't it a thrill getting books through the mail!
