CV - Typical Family Dinner

Corner View is a weekly appointment - each Wednesday - created by Jane and currently curated by Francesca, where bloggers from all corners of the world share their view on a pre-arranged theme. If you'd like to join in, please leave a link to your Corner View post in the comments at www.fuoriborgo.com, and be sure to visit other participants, too.

I usually eat my big meal at lunch.  If I eat a big dinner, it's at a restaurant.  (I am a HORRIBLE cook.) Having said that, this is what passes as a "family dinner" at my house:

Katie

Mama Cat

Willie

Chip

Molly

Noni the foster dog (she's been with us over 3 mos now... while I
refuse to fully admit it, I think she's here to stay...)

  1. Quite a line up you have there! I imagine after setting all that up, you need a break!;>)
They all look adorable and I bet you have quite the contented household. Noni's probably wondering what she did to deserve such a place!

That is another thing I hope to do after we build our house on our acre of land: foster dogs (that is after I choose one for keeps from the shelter). I plan to have hardwood floors throughout, even the bedroom (although husband and I will 'discuss' that one repeatedly), so if the new pet has an accident it won't be a big deal. Oh such dreams I have!

I'm off to post my meal.:>)

  3. A cute post and one after my heart. I didn't know you foster and have the animal love as I do. :) You know that is how Mr. Bojangles came to us, he was our first foster. As you can tell we failed in the fostering dept and the rest is history. A happy ending! xo

  5. I love your family dinner. I have fostered too (72 hours and they stay!) I always wondered how you keep dogs from eating the cat food in a multi-pet household.

    1. I have to put the cat bowls on the table or the dogs will get it. Oddly, the cats sometimes eat the dry dog food...

  8. What a big family Heather! Dinner seems the easy part of your day - it can't be very easy to walk THREE dogs, or is it?

    1. It's easier than it seems, but Noni is not used to walking on a leash so that causes problems and gets us quite tangled from time to time - esp during the morning walks when I've not had any caffeine.
