Corner View - Street Art

Corner View is a weekly appointment - each Wednesday - created by Jane and currently curated by Francesca, where bloggers from all corners of the world share their view on a pre-arranged theme. If you'd like to join in, please leave a link to your Corner View post in the comments at www.fuoriborgo.com, and be sure to visit other participants, too.

If you click on the photos, you can see them bigger and better.

Street art - graffiti-style:

Street art - music-style:

Saturday night, the city closed down a couple of streets for concerts.  As you can see, the stages are literally in the street.

This is "Switch"  - a fun 80s cover band:

Modern English, a fun actual 80s band:

John Waite, from the 70s and 80s:

Headlining - drum roll, please...... The Romantics:

I saw them in the early-mid 80s.  They and I have both changed drastically :-)

Happy corner viewing!

  1. Cool! I didn't think to check the corner view topic until AFTER the Pumpkin Festival, so I missed lots of street art opportunities like bands performing. Our difference in ages show with the 80s music---I remember wishing we'd just get through this phase of music quickly! Ha!;>) (At 58 I'm a late 60s/early 70s music 'child'.)
Interesting grafitti art. That's something that's hard to find here in this small town.

    1. Good music in the late 60s and 70s. I just finished reading Carole King's autobiography and I envied her life in the 70s. Well, the part where she lived on a ranch in Idaho...

    1. Oh. Yes. (I wish I could say no!) I even had a workout VIDEO TAPE in which the instructor motivates by saying, "No more need to buy shoulder pads. We'll make our own shoulder pads."

  10. The concert looks like fun, I was a child of the 80's. We have a lot of that type of graffiti on the train cars.

  13. Great varieties of street art in your corner!
I love when the city here too comes alive with music on the streets,
we just had a 2-day outdoor music festival with different 'stages" all over the city( our city is just a few streets wide, so the music was everywhere:)),
and the whole mood is really fun,
I can imagine your concert there,
    Enjoy!!

  14. Luckily there's no definition of art. So there's a great variety!
